The BDR-XU03 USB 3.0 BD/DVD/CD burner is the next generation Blu-ray burner from Pioneer. The BDR-XU03 has a smooth slot loading mechanism and the drive's body is made of magnesium not plastic, for a professional look and feel. The BDR-XU03 is our thinnest drive for ultra portability and can be used horizontally or vertically (with the included stand) to save valuable desk space. Its a perfect drive for Mac users or for those who already have software.

The BDR-XU03 can write to BDXL discs, Blu-ray discs, and is backwards compatible with DVD and CD media. Not only is the BDR-XU03 our thinnest drive, but its also one of the fastest with speeds up to 6x for BD-R and BD-R DL media.

The BDR-XU03 also has powerful features such as PowerRead?, Auto Quiet mode, and PureRead2+. PowerRead can provide smoother movie playback when a disc has fingerprints or minor surface scratches. Auto Quiet mode intelligently adjusts the disc rotation speed to reduce noise (useful while watching movies or listening to music), and PureRead automatically adjusts the drive parameters to minimize sound glitches during music playback. Auto Quiet mode and PureRead can be configured as well as enabled and disabled with the Pioneer BDR-XU03 Drive Utility.

The BDR-XU03 measures 5.2" (W) x 0.47" (H) x 5.2" (D) and weighs 0.54 lbs.
