It also uses one extra-low dispersion element and two aspherical elements to combat aberrations and flare. Ensuring optimal performance is the Smooth Autofocus Motor (SAM), a built-in system that provides smooth, quiet, and quick focusing that works well with the internal focus design to provide a minimum focus distance of 1.5'. Additionally, it has a seven-blade circular diaphragm for smooth bokeh.
